Hydrating, Energy-Boosting Sole Water
Ingredients Highlights
Lemon is high in vitamin C, which is required for countless bodily functions including skin, immune system, and cardiovascular health.
Pink Himalayan salt contains trace minerals such as potassium, magnesium, and calcium that give it its distinctive color. While similar in sodium content to regular table salt, its mineral profile makes it a natural way to season foods while adding small amounts of essential nutrients.
Ingredients
1 ¼ cups (or more) unrefined pink Himalayan salt, coarsely ground
Filtered water
1 liter/quart-sized glass jar with plastic lid (don’t use metal)
Optional:
½ lemon, freshly squeezed
Instructions
- In a glass jar, add pink Himalayan salt. Fill jar with filtered water, leaving about an inch of space at the top. Give it a stir with handle of a wooden spoon (don’t use metal!)
- Screw on plastic lid and sit on countertop for 24 hours. The water will naturally absorb the maximum amount of salt it can. If all of the salt is absorbed, add about ¼ cup more salt, give it a stir, place the lid back on, and let sit for another 24 hours.
- Continue this process until there is still some salt left on the bottom of the jar. This is when you know your sole water is ready!
How to Use: On an empty stomach first thing in the morning, add ½-1 teaspoon of sole water to a glass of water and drink. You can add the juice of ½ a lemon if desired. Wait at least 10 minutes before consuming anything else. Begin with ½ teaspoon and slowly work your way to 1 teaspoon. Avoid contact with any metal, including measuring, stirring, etc. Keep sole water on counter; there’s no need to stir it before consuming as the water is already fully saturated with as much salt as it can hold.
***To make a smaller batch, in desired size glass jar, fill up ¼-1/3 of jar with salt. Continue with directions above.***
