Roasted Asparagus with Lemon Tahini Sauce

Ingredients

1 bunch asparagus (about 1 lb)
2 Tablespoons olive/avocado oil

Lemon Tahini Sauce:
4 Tablespoons tahini
½ teaspoon garlic salt
¼ teaspoon cumin
¼ teaspoon turmeric powder
⅛ – ¹⁄₁₆ teaspoon cayenne pepper (more or less depending on taste)
½ lemon, juiced
Filtered water (for thinner consistency, if desired)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400F.
  2. Whisk together sauce ingredients and set aside.
  3. Break off the hard ends of the asparagus and place asparagus spears on a baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil and spread in a single layer.
  4. Bake in preheated oven for about 10 minutes, or until desired level of doneness is reached.
  5. Serve roasted asparagus warm, drizzled with desired amount of sauce. Enjoy!
