Ingredients Highlights

Coconut water is the clear liquid from inside coconuts. It provides vital trace minerals and natural electrolytes such as sodium, potassium, and manganese.

Lemon is high in vitamin C, which is required for countless bodily functions including skin, immune system, and cardiovascular health.

Limes are best known as a good source of vitamin C but also contain other important vitamins and minerals including magnesium, potassium, folate, and vitamins A, E, and K.

  2. Jeannette, thanks for your feedback. Let us know how you make it using less sugar!

Happy drinking (the good stuff ;-))

  3. Donna, hope you enjoy this as much as I did. My 17 year old son has been making a version of this daily since he works outside in the hot sun. It's so much better than sports drinks! Enjoy.

    • Hi Cindy, This is a great question. There is really no hard rule regarding this. However, we do understand that coconut water should not be left in the refrigerator for more than a few days. Things to look for are cloudiness, change in color, or a sour smell. Enjoy! :)

  4. It is good to know that without adding any sugar, honey, maple syrup, etcetera that this recipe only contaibs 1 gram of batursl occurring sugar.

Non-sugar sweeteners are not counted as sugar, however, not everyone can toletate substitute sweeteners.
