Stress-Reducing Low-Carb Chocolate Pecan Bites

Ingredients

½ cup Cinnamon Vanilla Pecan Butter (can substitute with almond butter)
2 capsules Organixx Magnesium 7 (or more)
⅛ teaspoon Cayenne pepper (or to taste)
½ cup 85% or higher dark chocolate chips of choice *
7 fresh raspberries, halved (or 14 whole)

*You can substitute with Lily’s semi-sweet or dark chocolate chips for a stevia-sweetened version, it just won’t be as firm or as high in magnesium.

Instructions

  1. Stir together pecan butter, Organixx Magnesium 7 and cayenne in small mixing bowl and set aside. In double boiler, melt chocolate.
  2. Remove from heat. Stir in pecan butter mixture into melted chocolate.
  3. Spoon out 1 tablespoon worth into silicone molds.
  4. Press half or whole raspberry into each bite. Freeze for an hour to set. Enjoy!
  5. Store in refrigerator up to 1 week or freezer up to 2 months.

Ingredients Highlights

Cayenne pepper is a good source of beta carotene and antioxidants that support the immune system. The key compound in cayenne called capsaicin is also cardioprotective, anti-inflammatory, helps prevent kidney stones and speed up metabolism and has beneficial effects on the GI system.

Good quality dark chocolate is high in antioxidants, rich in fiber, and contains minerals such as iron, magnesium, copper, and manganese. 

One cup of fresh raspberries is only 64 calories and offers 43% of the Daily Recommended Intake (DRI) of vitamin C. They’re also high in manganese and fiber and are good sources of several other vitamins and minerals.
