Jojoba –

• anti-inflammatory properties which help to tame chaffing and chapping,

Jonathan Hunsaker: Welcome, everyone, to another episode of Empowering You Organically.  I’m your host, Jonathan Hunsaker, joined by my co-host, TeriAnn Trevenen.

TeriAnn Trevenen: Hey, everyone!

Jonathan Hunsaker: We have some more exciting news for you today, and TeriAnn is the formulator of this new exciting news.  I’m going to let her tell you all about it.

TeriAnn Trevenen: As many of you know, just a few short weeks ago, we launched Organixx’s new skincare line, called Organixx Skin.  We released a vitamin C serum called Restore, and the response has been incredible.  We’re so excited to announce that we are releasing a second product called Renew, which is an amazing eye cream that will help to benefit your beautiful eyes and the skin around your eyes, and we could not be more excited about the ingredients that we’ve put together for you in this eye cream.

But, the beautiful thing about this eye cream is it is not only an eye cream, we also want you to know that this eye cream can be used around your mouth because it has powerful benefits when it comes to reducing fine lines and wrinkles, which we know we get around the eye, but also, we start to get those wrinkles around our mouth as we age.

And so, this has powerful, powerful benefits when it comes to wrinkles, reducing them, preventing them, and so, it’s also something you can use right around your mouth, in the corners and around your mouth, to reduce those pesky wrinkles that start to come in as we age.

Jonathan Hunsaker: Well, and I think it’s a much-overlooked place on the face, right?  We just put regular lotion on, when really, the mouth can show your aging a lot.  And so, we included a patented ingredient that’s clinically proven to reduce vertical lines, vertical wrinkles, for that simple fact, so that it’s not just phenomenal for your eyes, but also for your mouth.

So, as Jonathan mentioned, there’s some patented ingredients in here, so we’re going to talk about the ingredients that we’ve put together in this eye cream and how they will benefit you.  So, let’s jump into the ingredients one by one.

The first ingredient is jojoba oil.  Jojoba has anti-inflammatory properties, which help to tame chafing and chapping, it reduces redness caused by drying, and it soothes dry skin, it eases the effects of eczema and rosacea, and keeps your skin calm and comfortable, and then it has the vitamin E and B complex vitamins, which help in skin repair and damage control.

The next one is olive oil, which has antioxidant contents, it also helps to prevent premature signs of aging on the skin, it has vitamin content, and it has antibacterial and moisturizing effects.

The next ingredient is purified water, which helps with softer skin, and also, there’s a lot of chemicals and minerals in water that can make your skin dry, so purified water has the opposite effect with no harsh effects on the skin, leaving it soft and moisturized.  It also adds a glow, because it doesn’t remove the natural oils from your skin, and it makes it look moisturized.

We actually did our last podcast on eye cremes and what you need to look at in eye cremes, what you should see in benefits from your eye cream, what you should avoid, and one of the things we talked about is collagen production, especially when it comes to the skin around your eyes, because of how thin that skin is.  So, avocado oil has massive benefits when it comes to repairing, rejuvenating, and hydrating that skin around your eyes, increasing the collagen metabolism, which you absolutely want as you age, around that skin that’s just around your eyes.

The next one is apricot kernel oil, and this one, I am particularly excited about, because it has some massive benefits when it comes to the skin around your eyes and the skin around your mouth.  It has anti-aging benefits; it’s recommended for dry and mature skin types due to its mild highly-moisturizing nature and rich antioxidant content.

It can also help to diminish the look of wrinkles and other signs of aging, which is why it’s such a powerful ingredient for around your eyes and those wrinkles around your mouth, like we talked about.  It is readily-absorbed by the skin and leaves no oily residue, and it’s great, I love this one so much, and it’s one of the reasons we chose it, it’s great for an undereye cream as it helps to reduce dark circles, puffiness, and to strengthen the skin around the eye area.

Again, we talked about this in our last podcast, but the skin around our eyes is extremely thin.  One of the reasons that you use an eye cream is to keep that skin moisturized, and a lot of the blood that flows around our eyes builds up, and it’s easier to see under that thin skin around our eyes.  The apricot kernel oil actually helps to combat this and gets rid of those dark circles around your eyes, but then also, again, that benefit of reducing those wrinkles around your eyes and around your mouth.  A powerful, powerful ingredient.

The next ingredient is beeswax.  It has antiviral, anti-inflammatory, and antibacterial properties that are essential in fighting chapped skin and bacterial infections that tend to affect us most in the dry winter months.  This is really big because that skin around our eyes, again, is so thin, and so, putting this on there is going to keep it moisturized, keep it from getting damaged, and keep it healthy through those winter months when things are so cold and so dry.

It forms a protective wall by sealing in moisture in our skin without smothering and clogging up the pores, which is also super important with that skin around your eye.

The next ingredient is witch hazel.  It acts as an astringent to help shrink your pores.  It soothes your skin and reduces inflammation.  And the biggest benefit of this ingredient, which is something we all struggle with when it comes to our eyes, is it soothes the puffy eyes.  It soothes that puff and that inflammation that we get with lack of sleep, with traveling, with poor diet.

Now, of course, this can’t make up for not getting sleep and a poor diet, however, it can help to reduce that puffiness around your eyes if you have a day where you’re just off and you didn’t get enough sleep, or just over time, putting this on your eyes day-in and day-out, it helps to combat that inflammation around your eyes, and it’s so much easier to see that around your eyes than anywhere else on your skin.  It makes you look older; it makes you look more tired.  And so, that witch hazel is really powerful when it comes to keeping your eyes looking vibrant, happy, and healthy all the time.

The last two ingredients, we’re super excited about.  Just like our vitamin C serum, where we have patented ingredients that have been clinically tested and proven to have benefits for your skin, we have included two patented ingredients in our eye cream that have been clinically tested and proven to show results when it comes to the skin around your eyes and the skin around your mouth.
