Signs of Vitamin Deficiency on Your Face “Doc Talks”

Jonathan Hunsaker here with Organixx, thanks again for watching. And did you know that you may have a vitamin or mineral deficiency that’s causing the acne on your face? Let’s go talk to Doc to find out which ones.
Dr. Daniel Nuzum: Collagen in our body breaks down when there’s not enough vitamin C to maintain it. So, think about vitamin C as like the maintenance man for collagen. If collagen is starting to break down and wrinkle and things are folding and twisting and all this kind of thing, vitamin C is the maintenance man to keep that all ironed out; keep it all working properly.
So, if there are lots of wrinkles, that typically is going to point back to vitamin C deficiencies. Also, vitamin B3, niacin, is important for wrinkles and things like that, because niacin keeps blood vessels open.
Remember this that healing is proportionate to blood flow. So, if things are breaking down in the connective tissue and whatnot in the face, or if there are acne and rosacea and things, a lot of inflammation in the face, if you can increase the circulation, that means you improve the blood flow to the area and you improve the elimination of inflammation and toxic materials from the area.
Like paleness, where the skin is just pale, most often goes back to vitamin B12 deficiencies. So, you get that good, nice, healthy blood that is carrying plenty of oxygen to bring that to the skin and oxygenate the skin so that everything’s nice and glowing and has good color.
If you’re breaking out in your face, or just having acne and those types of things in general, detoxifying your body really helps, helps with eliminating a lot of that toxic load. So, the less that your liver and kidneys have to deal with, the better they function.
Adults sometimes in their 40s, or even 50s, they just start breaking out in acne. And what that is is the body is trying to eliminate toxins, and the liver and kidneys just can’t keep up. Okay, they just can’t filter out whatever it is the body’s trying to eliminate.
Again, detoxification and eliminating toxins from the body is super important if there are skin issues.
