Jonathan Hunsaker: Welcome to today’s episode of Ask the Doc, where we’re talking more about multivitamins. Stay tuned.
Dr. Daniel Nuzum: Alright, so should healthy people that are eating plenty of fruits and vegetables every day take a multivitamin, multi-mineral/vitamin supplement?
My answer to that is as long as they want to stay healthy – yes.
Here’s the thing. If we take organic broccoli today, grown on organic soil. Typical organic broccoli has about 17 percent of the concentration of nutrients that it had 100 years ago.
So, in that context, even if you’re eating extremely healthy, organic, fresh fruits and vegetables, the soil does not have the nutrients that it once had. And because of that, even if you are eating an impeccable diet, there are still holes; there are still things that are missing.
And the best way to ensure that is to take a multivitamin/multimineral supplement.
I equate nutritional deficiencies to a leaky dam. A leaky dam doesn’t function until you plug all the holes up. And nutritional deficiency is like that, so your cells are missing nuts and bolts. And until we replace all those nuts and bolts, the cells don’t operate properly.
So, to ensure that, I always recommend everyone, whether they’re healthy or not, to take a multivitamin, yes.
Jonathan Hunsaker: Thanks Doc. As always, such wonderful advice.
If you’re looking for a good multivitamin to take, Organixx has two to choose from. We have our original Multi-Vita-Maxx, which is in capsule form, and we have our brand new Liquid Multi-Vita-Maxx, which, of course, is liquid. It’s great for kids, dogs, and for those of you that have more difficulty swallowing capsules. Both just as effective; just two different forms for you to choose from.
