    Is it not true that IF you have an infection such as COVID - you must stop the cytokine storm ? Therefore supplements such as Elderberry must be stopped as well ?

    Are there any other supplements that should be stopped ?

    • Hello Gail, Thank you for your question. According to our research the data to support information that elderberry can initiate a cytokine storm has not been confirmed. The data suggests it is highly unlikely that consumption of properly prepared elderberry products (from berries or flowers) would contribute to an adverse outcome related to overproduction of cytokines or lead to an adverse response in someone with COVID-19. Some people may need less or more of a particular supplement due to their unique situation and symptoms.
